Boracay Resorts to Stay
It will be a vacation dream came true when you go to a tropical island so heavenly you find the best in everything with the best comfort and relaxing avenue for an island vacation in paradise. My family is fond of going there twice a year mostly during summer and school break.
My kids love to plunge into the cool, crystal blue waters of the Island while I and my hubby indulge in a relaxing massage along the beach sands. Masseurs are nearly everywhere along the White Beach offering you a great massage or reflexology for only Php P300.00.
Have a day off from hassle and you feel revitalized by the massage given to you by the masseurs who can be lively and very enjoyable.
You can opt to get your relaxing massage inside a hut or their massage center or you can have it along the beach shores under a palm tree to get an extra enjoyment of the cool Boracay breeze.
Plenty of peoplpe misinterpret that a Boracay escapade can be very costly. For someone who is basically a regular visitor of the Island you can always find several Boracay hotels and resorts that offer reasonable price.
Mostly the rate of the price will be according to the type of accommodation you desire.
Boracay resorts first class accommodation will always give you a luxurious experience. Boracay resorts with pools and special amenities come at a higher rate. We like to stay in resorts with pools because my kids are like swimming piranhas but not all resorts with pools can be very pricey if you know how to find the best place at an affordable price.
My favorite hotels in Boracay are The Regency and Tonglen Resort. The most expensive hotel we ever stayed at is at the Regency Hotel, the best and expensive hotel at White Beach. It is in fact the biggest hotel in the vicinity and the most popular one for its first class accommodation. Their room accommodation rates will range from Php 8,000 to Php 15,000 but the price basically varies according to the season.
They have several pools along the area with rooms so wide that you get the pleasure of enjoying your sleep and respite. You enjoy an extension water fun in your room at their huge bath tubs which my children do after an outdoor swim from the pool and the beach.
They have numerous restaurant spots where you can select to eat indoor or outdoor. They also offer buffet way and an eat all you can dinner by the side of the Boracay shore. They have extensive menus to offer from special cuisines, fruits, desserts, soup, seafood and assorted drinks at Php 600 per head.
You get to enjoy the privilege to swim at their pools of various sizes with free towels to use. They have a spot at the beach front where their visitors can settle to get pleasure from the cool breeze of the beach as you get a tan or read a book or watch beach games or simply to lounge and relax under the sun.
Tonglen Resort also provides a homey ambience with a more serene place to stay. Unlike the Regency Hotel located at the beach front and main center of the Island at Station 2 this Boracay resort is located about 2 minutes walk from the beach shore at Station 3.
Tonglen Resort offers nice pool where you are able to have some privacy. I enjoy eating breakfast at their pool area because of a warmer and peaceful ambience away from the bustling shore of the island. An overnight stay there may cost Php 2,500 and higher.
Tonglen offers a reasonable accommodation rate with decent facilities to give you a more restful stay in the island. The place is well maintained and their rooms are equipped with hot and cold showers, a cable television, air conditioning, soft bed with comforters and soft pillows. They have wide backyard which are lined with mango trees with huts to stay.
Although it can never be a luxurious Boracay resorts accommodation at Tonglen it does give a satisfying island experience to guests who value their privacy and want to obtain a more restful vacation away from stress and the bustling activities at the beach front.

Filed Under General Interest | Leave a Comment
Many delightful surprises await you in the Philippines. These surprises could be in the form of exhilarating tourist destinations such as beaches and other major attractions. Having prepared your itinerary, you should prepare painstakingly. You bring what you need and want to bring along with you as you cruise the 7,107 islands of the Philippines. So, in your planning, it would be really an advantage in your part to prepare or produce maps of the places that you want to visit in the Philippines.
There are three reasons why you may want to do that. First, you do not want to get lost. Second, some Philippine map are detailed to the extent that they include hotels, stores, etc. in the area. Third, Philippine maps offer direction of the place you desire to go. So, maps will be reasonably helpful to the smart tourist.
Firstly, you need a Philippine map of airports and flight centers. Case in point, you are in Mindoro. A Philippine airport map will tell you that the nearest airport is in Mamburao.
Now, there are many tourist destinations in the Philippines that you do not want to truly miss. We will include three spots here. These three tourist favorites are a must visit to ensure that you complete your adventure while you are in the country.
Your itinerary must include the exotic and sole land of Bohol. There are two major attractions in this place—Tarsier, the smallest primate in the world and the Chocolate hills. One cannot help but be amazed at the 1268 awe-inspiring 50-meter high hills of Bohol. These hills look wonderfully brown during the dry season. Sometimes, they look lush in green. But whatever color they display, they are beautiful. In addition to this, you can witness the Philippine Tarsier (also in Bohol).
Boracay is the island paradise you have been dreaming of. The place is totally terrific, peaceful, romantic– majestic even. The shallow, serene royal blue water rushes against the white sand of the shore and reflects the tranquility of Philippine horizon. Who wouldn’t want to unwind in this wonderful island? Furthermore, you will never encounter boredom here due to the active lifestyle, bars, resorts, and services etc. that the place offers.
Experience the 8th wonder of the world—the Banaue Rice Terraces (Ifugao). This a la stairway to heaven is truly a step level rice field architecture by the early colonizers of the place. It was recognized as one of the best achievements of man in “crude” engineering because the famous rice terraces that rise to almost 5000 feet was built and designed without the benefit of modern equipment—just primitive tools.
As a result, Banaue Rice Terraces was given the recognition and distinction as a UNESCO world heritage. Furthermore, this tourist spot gets more exciting because of the side thrills that you can encounter and the underlying places that you can discover. To name a few, you have the Banaue Resort and Tappia Falls waiting for you.
These tourist destinations are just some of the precious gems that you can discover in the country, just make sure you know how to search for them. Well, in your “gems” escapade, a Philippine map will be absolutely indispensable. Just bring them along with you and you will never go wrong.

San Diego is a great city to base yourself when visiting Southern California and one of the things visitors immediately see is that almost everything you need and many of the attractions of the area are all within very easy reach of downtown. One of the local sayings is everything is within 20 minutes of downtown whether you are in your car, using the excellent public transport or simply enjoying the city on foot. Once you visit you may very well need the help of San Diego movers because you will never want to leave.
Downtown by Night
Many people, both locals and visitors head downtown and particularly to the Gaslamp Quarter of the city for an evening of great food, drinking, dancing and entertainment. Within the Gaslamp Quarter there are several rooftop bars and clubs where you can enjoy outstanding views of the city while savoring a drink or your meal al fresco. There is the trendy and hip J6 Bar on the fourth floor of the Hotel Solamar but for those who really aren’t afraid of heights, check out the Altitude Skybar on top of the 22 floors of the Marriott which has a mixed bag of locals and those passing through.
Going Wild at San Diego Zoo
San Diego Zoo is a world famous home for a large collection of animals from all over the world while the Wild Animal Park is only 30 minutes drive north of the city in the outlying town of Escondido. Here you’ll find rhinos, giraffes, zebras and elephants amongst numerous others ranging over 1,800 acres and for $90 you can enjoy the Photo Caravan tour which will get you up close and personal with the wildlife but bear in mind you must book this in advance.
The main San Diego Zoo houses exotic creatures not accustomed to roaming over the savannah or plains such as polar bears, pandas, hippos and there is a key breeding program for endangered species of tiger run here in conjunction with worldwide conservation efforts. You can also enjoy the zoo together with Sea World more cheaply if you buy a combination pass – the Zoo/Passport Balboa Park Combo – which will set you back $59 per adult but also gives you admission to 13 other museums.
Hiking on the Torrey Pines State Reserve
If you are looking to stretch your legs and stimulate your mind head out of the city to Torrey Pines State Reserve and in particular, hiking centers on the Guy Fleming Trail. Guy Fleming was a well known nature guide and extremely active in preservation and providing responsible managed access for every to enjoy. The trail is only over a half mile or so loop which will take you along the stunning cliffs bordering the ocean with a viewing area on the northern section of the loop. The cost of admission is only $8 for the park but an hour before sunset it is cut to $4 and sunsets are spectacular.
Mexican Food North of the Border
Mexico is just over the border but you don’t need to cross over to get the very best Mexican food as you’ll find it right here in San Diego. Take the trolleybus for the 45 minute ride from downtown to Old Town (costs $2.50) and a surprise is in store for you – Old Town is home to excellent Mexican restaurants dishing out tortillas prepared by hand and fresh to order. Check out the Casa Guadalajara which is usually packed with tourists but the locals also focus on this eatery with free appetizers during happy hour and courtyard dining at its best.
You should also try out Tony’s Jacal and Fidel’s which are neighbors on Valley Avenue both packed with racing memorabilia from the nearby Del Mar racetrack and Mexicana.
Petco Park Fan Factory Baseball Stadium
This ultra modern baseball stadium was opened in 2004 and has revitalized downtown San Diego with record attendances as well as being the home of the Padres. The stadium is replete with bougainvillea, waterfall features and Rubio’s is on hand for mouth watering tacos and food. There are two attractions to include which will make your visit really worthwhile; The Western Metal Supply building is a factory which was rescued from demolition and survived to form an integral part of the new stadium offering grandstand views which are dominated by business leasers so get one while you can.The second attraction is the Park at the Park - for you can get a seat to watch the game from a Wiffle ball-field and it also has a picnic area.

San Diego is located on the southern coast of California and is an amazingly compact city; from downtown you can get to virtually every attraction and convenience within 20 minutes though there is so much more to see and do in the surrounding area.
San Diego has both budget and quality hotels, plus an excellent road system and public transportation - but it is the most fun to enjoy the city on foot to see all this wonderful town has to offer.
Sealed-Off Beach
A wave free area was created at La Jolla in the 1930's with a concrete barrier and became known as the Children's Pool however, the days of kids playing safely in the water are long gone and seals make their home here today. You can still picnic here and enjoy the scenery and the wildlife with a rare opportunity to get close to these lively animals but there also a couple of other beaches you can enjoy as well.
Dog Beach is where you can play with your pooch off the leash and so popular have these become that there are now actually two; one is in Del Mar though open only from October to May and the other is Ocean Beach which is open year-round.
Salazar’s Whole Enchilada
If you’re ever thinking of moving to San Diego, Salazar’s is a gem which takes you back in time to the Spanish occupancy of southern California. Imagine heavily mustachioed men complete with sombreros, senaritas in brightly colored frills and dresses and dancing to Spanish mariachi music on the jukebox. The food is amongst the very best out of Mexico itself with tamales, chiles rellenos, beans and rice and of course, enchiladas.
Hotel del Coronado
The {Hotel del Coronado was good enough for 11 presidents and European royalty since 1888 when it first opened its doors with its trademark red shingled turrets – if it's good enough for them it's certainly good enough for you~The Hotel Coronado has hosted 11 presidents and a multitude of European royalty since 1888 when it first opened its doors}! For $300 a night the price may be something of an extravagant expense but you can enjoy the surroundings and explore the old landmark building without staying - simply watch the old Monroe, Lemmon and Curtis film, Some Like it Hot which used the hotel as its backdrop for many scenes to get an idea of the treat in store for you.
Be on your guard when budgeting – a hotdog will set you back the princely sum of $8 and this is certainly not a cheap or budget attraction but there is lots to experience and if you are lucky, the old ghost of Kate Morgan may make one of her spooky appearances!
Torrey Pines
If you want to enjoy San Diego and the surrounding countryside from the air then head to the world famous Torrey Pines for hang gliding and paragliding. You don't need to be trained or experienced as tandem glides are available where the instructors do all of the work allowing you to settle back and enjoy being as free as a bird.
Kids as young as 5 and older kids in their 90’s can enjoy the trip and rides for $150 so there is no bar with age or handicap and definitely this will be an experience of a lifetime.

The water from the clear spring lured man to the rolling hills of Northwest Arkansas. The spring is believed to have been first used by the Osage Indians for it’s healing powers. The legend of the curing waters soon spread. It is believed that Dr. Jackson was the first white man to find the spring. The spring was found by Alvah Jackson in 1854. This could have been just a minor footnote in Akansas folklore but it became the beginning of the greatest town boom in the recorded history of Arkansas.
During a hunting trip to the area in 1858, Dr. Jackson’s son had an accident which caused a painful inflammations of the eyes. Dr. Jackson had his son wash his eyes from the water in the spring in what is now Basin Spring. His condition quickly improve. Jackson was confinced that the water had curative powers. Dr. Jackson bottled the spring water and sold it as “Dr. Jackson’s Eye Water”. Word of mouth spread as to the healing benefits of the spring water.
During the Civil War, Dr. Jackson frequently treated sick and wounded soldiers from both armies. In 1865, Dr. Jackson nursed confederate soldiers back to health. Federal troops controlled Northwest Arkansas. Therefore the confederate troops had to hide in the mountains around Eureka Springs. Therefore they camped out in the bluffs above the spring which would later be Basin Spring in Eureka Springs. Soon the Confederate soldiers had recovered.
In May, 1879; the water’s healing benefits would again be reported. Dr. Jackson introducted Judge Saunders to the benefits of the spring waters. Judge Saunders was afflicted by erysipelas. Judge Saunders felt completely restored after losing 33 pounds in just 5 weeks. It was also reported that his hair returned to its original color of black.
No one can determine whether the spring waters were actually therapeutic at that time. No chemical difference has been found between the water in Eureka Springs and water in other parts of Northwest Arkansas. Never the less; the legend was born.
In 1879, about 50 people camped around the spring water. Dr. Jackson said the area needed a name. Discussions followed as to naming the town. Two popular names were Jackson Springs and Saunders Springs for the two most famous men in the area at that time. Someone suggested “Eureka” meaning “I have found it” for the name. Since these men did not want to town named after them; they agreed up the name. Eureka Springs as founded. The City of Eureka Springs, Arkansas was offically founded on July 4, 1879.
The healing waters fame spread and over 10,000 came to stay in tents and shanties. In less than one year, the spring waters would bring over 25,000 people. Eureka Springs’s econony developed around the springs. This is why Eureka is often called “The City That Water Built”. Tourists soon flocked to the springs as well as people with health problems. Hotels, bathhouses, dry goods stores and grocery stores soon sprang up around the springs. Farmers and hills men soon came from hundreds of miles away with wagons loaded with eggs, driving ducks and geese. The Railroad soon followed in 1893.
In 1881 there were 13 buildings called hotels catering to the growing tourist population. The Eureka Springs water was called “Delicously pure and sweet” by local newspapers in 1882. Eureka Springs offers a large variety of spa benefits today to tourists.
The town has flourished as a tourist destination ever since. From historic hotels, romantic cabins and private suites; Eureka Springs has more one-of-a-kind Bed & Breakfast’s per capita of any town in the south. Eureka Springs offers welcoming and relaxing lodging for every traveler.

From the day you get your first job, you begin working towards retirement without even realizing it. Every paycheck you receive has social security taken out of it. Once you reached your late thirties, your main goal in life is retirement and by the time you hit sixty, you will be making definite plans for retiring.
If you want to live longer after retirement, there is one thing you must remember. Stay active! Many people look forward to their retirement years as a time to relax and rest. When they finish the last day of their job, they return home and become a couch potato. They sit in front of the television and eat. Instead of increasing their retirement years, they begin to slowly eat away at the years that are left, decreasing them one day at a time. The sad part is, they usually spend the last years of their lives in bed suffering from a painful, incurable disease.
Your retirement years can be rewarding and fulfilling, if you choose wisely and make the right decisions. There are unlimited opportunities to stay active for people who are retired. There are an many different types of organizations that need volunteers, and people who need help and prefer to remain in their own home instead of going to a nursing home. There are, also, troubled children who can benefit from an adopted grandparent. There are even opportunities to work part time.
In order to make the years of your retirement more fulfilling and healthier, continue to eat a healthy diet, exercise daily and to keep yourself feeling young, use anti aging products. With these goals in mind, you will enjoy life more and feel younger.
If you have eaten in a healthy way throughout the years, you won’t have to change much in regards to your diet during retirement. Don’t eat as much. Six small meals a day, instead of three large ones, will keep your blood sugar balanced and keep you feeling better.
Every morning prepare a vegetable and fruit tray that you can snack from during the day. Include items such as sliced fruit, a variety of berries, stuffed celery sticks, sliced cucumbers and carrot sticks. If you snack on things like this, you won’t put on extra pounds, and they will help keep you healthy. Drink a lot of goji and acai berry juices during the day. They will supply your body with all of the nutrition that it needs.
Exercise every day. Walking, swimming and yoga are great exercises for retirement. Purchase an exercise video that will get your heart rate up to do on days when you can’t get outside.
Use anti-aging creams that include anti-oxidants such as goji or acai berries, vitamin E or aloe vera. These ingredients contain a high amount of anti-oxidants that will eliminate the effect of free radicals on your skin. The added advantage is that they will make your skin supple and soft.
Retirement is a wonderful, new world of opportunities. When you retire, you bring with you a lifetime of knowledge, experience and abilities. Use these talents to reach out to others in your community. Stay active and productive and you will totally enjoy your years of retirement. You’ve worked hard. Enjoy yourself!

The approval for migrating in developed countries has always been commonplace among those who seek an improved life. Thru work, study, and family connection it is possible for anybody to get into a country of their choice. The catch , however , is that its not an easy feat.
One of the top nations fast growing with immigrants is Canada. From nurses to waiters, Canada has been accepting migrants from all over the world. The standard of life is high and opportunities for work and career are widespread and many.
Its may be unsurprising that you know 1 or 2 people who have already moved to Canada. They have taken the steps for them to become immigrants ; and have a go in living in a foreign and developed country. If you seek a similar thing, there are several strategies for you to achieve it ; and if by chance you have a family member already living there - the best choice for entry is through Canada’s Family Class sponsorship.
How family class sponsorship works
For you to be qualified for family class funding, it must be a two-way agreement between you and a relative living in the country. A qualified relative means she or he must already be a Canadian voter or an everlasting resident of Canada. If this is established, then the very next thing to get is the willingness of that relative to sponsor you for Canadian immigration.
the link between you and your relative , however , has some perimeters to be considered. If that relative is some distance from being a first-degree relation, possibilities are thin, but still possible. The list below outlines the kind of relationship that’s qualified for support :
better half ( wife/husband ) ; common-law or conjugal partner
Grandparent/s or parent/s
A dependent kid ( usually under the age of 21 )
Under 18, unmarried, or orphaned bro, sister, grandchild, niece, nephew
A kid that is under 18 and meant for adoption
Other relative/s that aren’t discussed above
For the ready sponsor, a number of qualifications for him/her to be able to help another relative get into Canada are also needed. Apart from being a voter or permanent resident of Canada, the sponsor should be financially capable to provide for the sponsee. Monetary capability implies that the sponsor is able to give the essential needs such as food, shelter, clothing and other basic necessities of everyday living.
The sponsor should also acquiesce in entering a deal with Canada’s regime in providing the essential wants for the sponsee over a period of time. Also in accord is that the sponsor should also try into making the sponsee self-supporting.
Other sponsor qualifications include the following :
He/she is eighteen years old or above ;
isn’t in jail or any similar facility ;
is not bankrupt ; and
is not charged with any serious or major offence
Process and processing time
When the qualifications have been met, it is then possible for you ( as a sponsored relative ) to sign up for immigration - either from inside or outside of Canada. This application is step one in the immigration process and can vary based on the form of application.
your request goes thru a number of phases, and extra fees are needed along the path. The downside for all immigration candidates is that nothing is a hundred percent sure ; so ensuring all of your requirements are met is a particularly vital part when applying.
The processing time is also a significant component that depends on your sort of relationship with your sponsor. The possibilities of faster processing time is when your relative is of first-degree kin. Either way, processing times can be as short as six months to a full-blown decade, depending on your circumstances.

With the launch of new Aer Lingus flights to the popular Canary Island of Lanzarote, it’s the perfect time for an sunny getaway. The brilliant Lanzarote sunshine and mild climate make it an ideal island getaway any time of the year, but perfect if you want to escape the not-so-sunny British seasons. As of October 25th 2009, the well known airline has started running flights between Gatwick and Lanzarote’s Arrecife airport three days a week, making year-round sunshine, stunning scenery and cheap Lanzarote hotels even more accessible than before.
The new route announcement follows news earlier in the year that the Spanish government will be offering discounts on airport taxes to airlines meeting certain criteria when flying to Spanish destinations. The new flights are the government’s latest attempt to fuel the thriving tourism economy, both on the islands and Spanish mainland. The tourism in Lanzarote, like many other European destinations, was hit hard last year after the turbulent down turn in the economy. Its airport saw a reduction of 3.3% in December 2008 compared with the same time the previous year, which raised concerns about the health of local tourism.
There’s no doubt the new route announced between London and Lanzarote will be welcome news to the island. Similarly, it is great news for eager sun-seekers too, as holidaymakers have the chance to enjoy a paradise island break at an affordable price. Prices for the new routes start from £34.99, one way. There are also some fantastic deals on Lanzarote hotels to be had at the moment. A bungalow for two in a four star resort, for example, costs as little as £14 per person per night this October, while all-inclusive hotels in Lanzarote can be found for around £27. So, with troubled financial times meaning great deals both in the air and on the ground, an autumn sunshine break is well within reach this year.

Rome is a city with a long and varied history. One of the greatest thing about Rome is how the new and the old often intersect in interesting ways. There is much to see and do in Rome, so much so, that most plan to see it year after year and still cannot write it off. Starting with the many tours offered, travelers get a better understanding of the rich history and culture of the area.
There are a couple of different types of tours you might consider. They offer tours as a group or individual personal tours. Make sure you find a reputable tour company so you can gain the benefit of a real expert’s suggestions. This personal way of viewing the city gives the traveler an in-depth look at the area allowing you to touch the area visually, kinetically, and artistically.
The guides are in control of the various tours, taking you up and down the historical streets, introducing you to the past first hand. Keep in mind that the more popular tours are often booked in advance, so try to arrange tickets well in advance if you have a specific tour in mind. It’s also important to do some research into the tour company beforehand as well, since you’ll be relying on their advice later.
Take a drive to Ostia Antica to see the Roman Ruins. They are not as famous as Pompeii or Herculaneum and they will not have the crowds, but the trip will be full of history. Other, more modern locations such as Frascasi, will let you get a feel for smaller town life in Italy. You can enjoy spending the day, enjoy the local white wines, or just have lunch before going back to the city.
There are probably hundreds of other things to do and see while in Rome. Everyone that has ever visited this city will probably have a different list; remember you do not see it all in one visit. So just enjoy yourself, and don’t worry too much about seeing everything in one go.

Travel: Arc de Triomphe in Paris
Filed Under General Interest | Leave a Comment
Paris of France is a city with a lot of historical monuments, one-of-a-kind museums, and al fresco cafes, among other things. It’s definitely an artist’s paradise. The Louvre of course is the most famous museum in Paris, and perhaps even around the world.
The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most inspiring monuments ever erected in the history of France, standing tall and proud in the middle of Place Charles De Gaulle. Its construction underwent several challenges.
But, what is Arc de Triomphe? What are the Dimensions of Arc de Triomphe that make it one of the most famous monuments in history?
Arc de Triomphe, A Brief Description?
Arc de Triomphe is dedicated to remember the brave french soldiers during Napoleonic Wars.
Withing its silent walls, the soldiers and the wars that they battled are inscribed. There’s a tomb underneath it for a certain unnamed from the WW-1. Rumor has it that the structure was taken after the Arch of Titus of the Romans.

———————————————-—————
The Size and Structure of Arc de Triomphe
Roughly, the Arc de Triomphe stands about fifty meters or about one hundred and sixty-feet high; is forty-five meters in width or about one hundred and fifty wide; and twenty-two meters in depth or seventy-two feet deep.
Its size is so big and wide, that a bicplane actually passed through it and fit perfectly! It was actually Charles Godefroy piloting the plane right after the celebrations in Paris for the end of the 1st World War, and this great feat went down in history as one of the most memorable stunts involving the Arc de Triomphe.
The Arch took all of thirty-six years to be completed because of interruptions in its construction somewhere between 1816 to about the late 1820s.
Exploring The Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is something that we shouldn’t miss out on when visiting Paris. Within the Arch is a museum that tells the story of the Arch itself; from conception to completion.
We can also learn a lot about the structure within its museum wall, the inspiration behind its design plus the people responsible for creating one of the world’s most famous landmarks and monuments.
To avoid the risk of getting run over by all the passing cars around it, tourist can use the available underground pass to reach the Arc!
There is also an elevator service that can take tourists to the top of the Arch. But, if we are more like an adventure-type of tourist, we can take all of the 284 steps leading to the top of the Arc de Triomphe.
Entrance fee will vary on our age, but it might be a good news for parents as minors won’t be charged for entrance fee. We may check this out on the internet to know the monument’s daily opening hours.
